Mostest

Mostest, a word I have only heard from myself and my mother, since our love for each other is simply so strong that the word "most" just did not cut it. I see my mom not only as my mother but, funny enough, as my father too, since mine never cared to step up. She plays the role of both of my parents and also my best friend. No matter how many friends I have had in my life so far or how many more I will have, she has always stuck around, even in my darkest moments and even in her own.

I have read many books in my life about life lessons and interesting stories, and no one’s words, not even those of the greatest writer, can surpass the knowledge given by my mother. Not her life lessons, which I sometimes try to ignore, though I then realize, without them, she would not be herself. And so, I listen. Because if she did not have those lessons to become who she is, I would never know this incredible woman.

The stories she tells from the past are so intricate, it feels as though they are happening in the present. Her laugh cures the aches in my soul. Her voice has brought me comfort since the moment I was born. Her warm embraces make me feel light as a feather, with not a problem in the world.

I write my thoughts simply as they are. However, when it comes to my mother, just as our love is so strong that we created a word for it, I truly do not believe there are words to describe how much I love her. Therefore, in the toughest of moments and the roughest of times, I love her mostest because she is the only one I could ever love that much.
